Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm very interested in meeting new people, sharing experiences, and minimalist travel. I'm used to crashing on friends' couches/floors/etc and honestly prefer it over a hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite band is the Magnetic Fields. I generally like garage rock/(post) punk/new wave/psych/guitar music etc.

I love films by Fellini, The Phantom of Liberty, and 60's Bond films. I also enjoy low budget pseudoscience/cryptozoology/conspiracy documentaries. (And the X-Files, obviously.) I like documentaries in general.

I like nonfiction books, especially art history & theory ones. Short stories are cool. My favorite books are usually ones my friends lend me. I like Daniel Handler and Roald Dahl.

Currently reading: Roland Barthes by Roland Barthes, Gender Trouble by Judith Butler, The Theory of the Leisure Class by Thorstein Veblen, Love And Sex with Robots by David Levy.
