Hey Couchsurfers! My name is Till, I am 18 years old and was born in Witten, Germany. After finishing my Abitur in the summer of 2018 my biggest dream was to broaden my horizon through travelling. Since January 2019 I am on a RoadTrip, exploring many beautiful places in Europe. When I have to describe myself in three words I would say that I am adventurous, sporty and easy-care. I am looking forward to meet interesting people and sharing stories about the world with you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Due to my RoadTrip I have to be very spontaneous while travelling. The Couchsurfing App allows me to find a roof over my head wherever I am and to meet locals who can show me new places to discover. Therefore Couchsurfing fits my style pretty well!

Interests

My first hobby was to play football (like every guy in Germany I guess ;-) )from age 5 to 14, among other things also in the youth teams of Borussia Dortmund. Nowadays I am a passionated triathlete competing in the 2. Bundesliga in Germany. In my free time I love to relax thru listening to good music fitting to my mood. On vacation I try new types of sports and inhale the spirit of the different cultures I get to know. Furthermore I am a Skiinstructor, which definetly points out my personal devotion to the mountains. During the months in summer I enjoy surfing. One of my secret passion is to sit together with nice people in the evening, chat about the experiences we made, drink and eat something, listening to good music and maybe playing a board game.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2016 I was on my first Camping vacation in Galicia, Spain together with my best friend and his dad. We had a lot of sunny days / good waves, met some really cool people on our campsite and learned that the Spaniards can party ;-)!
These 3 weeks in spain stayed in my mind until today. On this foundation I created the idea to live this lifestyle in my gap year ’til I will start to study. So I bought myself a Camper Van and began to plan my Roadtrip...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like the saying „Das Leben ist ein geben und nehmen“ [translated: In life there is a degree of „give and take“ which might be inevitable.]. Based on this I always have a gift for my hosts. This can be little things like a gift matching to the interests of you, a dinner I prepare with specialities of my origin. If we have the same interests we could go out and ski, surf or do any other activities with drinks on me afterwards or I will just clean up the dishes after a meal ;-). Somehow I will find a way to show my thankfulness to you :-)!
