ABOUT ME

I love to live, learn, travel and meet nice and fun people everywhere I go or fly. If the destination is 'wrong' sometimes it sucks, sure - like every job 😉- but I've never been thinking to quit since it gives me the chance to be among people and to see the utmost variety of approaches to life. In the layovers I'm always happy to meet local people which is the main reason that I registered here. If you wondered about the length of the list 'Places visited', I just took places where I spent at least one night. Of some places I know only the capital, in others I spent weeks or totally even months.

Free your mind and just choose the best from anything life itself is able to give. Especially the small, nice things. They are the ones which count.

Books: Somerset Maugham's short stories are my all time favorites. Movies: whenever they are touching the finest strings of our souls like 'Out of Africa', 'Forrest Gump' , 'Cloud Atlas' , 'Lord of the rings', ' The hobbit' ... . Music: All the music which is in tune with our souls. Marlon Roudette, Ed Sheeran, J.S. Bach, Rihanas Diamonds... Always open to new surprises and there are many other nice books to read, movies to watch music to hear and so little time!

Swimming in warm natural pools under waterfalls and feeling the cold of the Atlantic in South Africa, standing on the Table mountain when suddenly the clouds arrived, snorkeling at the Similan islands in Thailand, the fireworks on the Chao Praya in front of the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok at New Year, floating at night in the ocean of the Indian Andamans while the fluorescent was glowing around me, lying under the open sky in Nara, Japan in front of a temple to wait for the first train taking me back to Osaka, seeing the first steps of my son, climbing Lions Head in Cape Town with him when he was 5, sailing here in Hamburg on the Alster...

Of course I can teach or improve anyone's German if there is an interest in it. And I'm always eager to learn new languages or at least a handful of words per language because it's often lightning a smile in those who hear them. Right now I'd love to learn Malay/Indonesian since I'm flying every month to Singapore, Indonesia nearby... .
