About Me

I'm a traveler and have been doing so for over 20 years off and on. Just another Dirty Kid making my way in this world; a free spirit and a starving artist. I've been from coast to coast multiple times, at least stepped foot in 49 states and visited parts of Canada and Mexico. I live for the adventure and the experience! 😉

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As much as I love the outdoors, getting a solid night sleep safely indoors every once in awhile is nothing short of a blessing from the Gods. I love meeting new people and sharing stories, thoughts and knowledge. I'm also heading back to my winter camp in my hometown in SoTex to get the Dirty Kid Winter Refuge Village up and running, ready for this season's influx of our traveling Pham escaping the frigid cold up North. As I do every year. All help getting home safely for that will be appreciated by many!

Interests

I'm pretty easy to sum up in a nutshell. I'm a traveling artist and writer. Nature is my church. I'm more comfortable amongst the trees than I am with people and the only animals I fear walk on two legs. Although, somehow I've managed to maintain love and respect for all life. I enjoy crafty arts and not to sound stereotypical but like all writers, I enjoy to drink. Lol. Not a schwilly drunk but who doesn't enjoy a cold beer?!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not a big fan of t.v. or video games. In fact, the only shows I ever really watch on t.v. is Vikings, the Walking Dead, the occasional MMA fight and wilderness survival and nature programs and I don't catch much of any of that tbh. Oh! And South Park. Lol. The occasional movie is cool too.
I enjoy most music but have an affinity for folk punk/Dirty Kid street music, Nordic, pirate and 90's metal, West Coast reggae, outlaw country and classic rock.
Some favorite writers are Thoreau, Emerson, Miller, Thompson and Kerouac. Favorite subjects would be classic American literature and philosophy, especially anarchism and socialism, existentialism, epicureanim, stoicism and Eastern philosophy. Also, some favorite subjects include nature, survivalism and herbalism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow! Don't even know where to start honestly. My life is an adventure, it's truly amazing. One of the greatest feelings is standing on top of a mountain, looking at the world below and contemplating how miniscule we really are and how magnificent the world is around us.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach others the crafts I know and learn from other crafty artists. My main arts are wire wrapping, wire sculpting, palm leaf origami and beaded macrame

What I Can Share with Hosts

I went to college for culinary arts so there's always that. I'm also really good at picking up heavy things and working with my hands. I'm not afraid of hard work and always enjoy getting my hands dirty. So if there's anything that someone needs help with I'm glad to offer my services.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico
