About Me

Hello. I'm new to this, bear with me...

My name is Tim, I'm a 25 year old recently graduated student living in Sydney, Australia. I'm currently just starting as a doctor working in a busy hospital as an intern.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend made me ;) ...... just kidding...

Several people have told me that couchsurfing is not only a great way to travel but a great way to meet new people in weird and wonderful places. I've always lived in Sydney and used to work in a bar. Some of the funniest conversations I had whilst working were with backpackers and travellers from around the world. It'd be cool to meet more people like this and hopefully one day have friends around the world.

Interests

Enjoy my sport like any good Aussie - cricket and rugby mostly. Also enjoy reading and play a little piano on the side.

Very much enjoy good food. I come from a long line of cooks and was born with a knife and fork in my hands. Learnt to cook from my grandmother and mum, and then worked in a kitchen for a bit too. I would so happily cook for anyone, or go hunting for crazy good food experiences!

Most of all just enjoy hanging out. Coffee and beer are life essentials for me, and made all the more better with good company.

Music, Movies, and Books

Postmodern Jukebox - a cool youtube band who do vintage covers of modern songs, very smart, check them out!

Most things by Quentin Tarantino, some others, could talk about movies for hours...

The Count of Monte Cristo, Don Quixote, Cat's Cradle

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once contributed to and then individually assembled a giant pyramid made from empty beer cans (beer-amid?). I think it was 8 storeys high comprising 204 empty cans.... I don't really remember, whole thing is a bit hazy....

Teach, Learn, Share
