Having recently finished school (IB) I'm now off looking for adventure during my gap year. I plan on staying in Melbourne for a month or two and then going where the wind blows me....

Starting off I seem to be of the quiet, calm and composed type but I love a bit of good fun and getting to know new people just as much as anyone. I'm a great sports fan and love pretty much any outdoor activity. I'm also very open minded and love learning and exploring new things.

Having been born and raised in India by Europaen parents I've had the good fortune of seeing quite a lot of the world already, although this will be my first trip on my own, and even though the prospect is daunting, I'm hoping to make the most of it with a lot of new friends and great experiences!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to meet new people and make friendships to last. I'd love to see more of the world and I see couchsurfing as the ultimate way to go about doing this, not only getting to know a country from the outside, tourist-y perspective but from the perspective of people who live there themselves.

Interests

I love adventure and action sports but do not consider myself an adrenalin junkie. I'm an outdoor person who loves any and all forms of sport or fitness activity.

Having recently discovered bouldering I'm totally into it now and have even built myself a 50 square meter wall in my backyard :)

I'm very good with my hands and with almost every tool, and I love fixing, repairing and optimising things around the house and wherever else.

I'm a certified PADI open water diver and a really enthusiastic aquarist with over 6 large tanks at one point. What I see while diving I try to recreate behind glass. Fish and corals are not the only pets I've had though, since I grew up close to the countryside and an accustomed to a farm life I'm great with all kinds of animals, and have had/still have 6 dogs, 2 cats, a horse, a donkey, a flock of 60 hens, and a lot more in my care.

I've been riding enduro/motocross ever since I can remember, I think I first got on a bike when I was 8, and have been working on my skills and riding out almost every weekend since then.

After all this though I really do also enjoy a good book and some quiet time for a change :D

When I've got nothing else to do I enjoy watching TV shows like 24, Blindspot, Prison break, etc.
