Sobre mí

I'm very openminded, I have a degree in Philosophy and i'm halfway through my studies for an Audio Engineer BA degree at SAE Institute Ljubljana.

I'm a non-smoker, love sports, was in tennis school for 13 years and i'm also a ski instructor. I always love hanging around good and friendly people, but i also appreciate the time i spend with myself, enjoying spirituality and peace.

I started to learn how to play a guitar and i love to see a good movie or listen to some great music. I love going to art exhibitions and i like anything that's creative. I enjoy the fuse of art, music and dance.

During the summer i work in a children's camp/colony. Each year i also help to prepare the camp, so i have experience with cutting trees, branches, grass and off course some cleaning, painting, setting up tents and basically everything that a camp needs in order to operate. We are like a small community so the work is merely volunteering and really versatile.

Stay great!

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

One of the reasons behind couch surfing is that it is one thing that i haven't tried yet (hence the no reference label. I could get some fake ones, but what's the point). I tried hostels, airbnb, home stay, flat share. I'm also a premium member of HelpX, but couldn't find a free host around the area, some would't even respond. I know i'm new to couch surfing but i have to start somewhere. I am completely aware of the fact that couch surfing does not mean free accommodation but is instead built on giving something back to community. I will try my best to meet everybody's expectations and needs, will try to share and give away as much useful information as i can and after my travel journey at the end of the summer ends, i'll try to be a host myself as often as i could.

I would really like to try couch surfing, so i can meet interesting people, share a good conversation or two. I don't even mind helping with some households or whatever. I think this is the best option to find a place to stay in big or small city centres with people giving you some directions and experience where to go or what to visit.

And hopefully in time, you can make an international web full of random good and interesting people, who can then come visit you or you can come visit them again later on and somewhere on the way you find really good and long-lasting friends. This is what this world is all about, i think. But if you don't look, you can't find;)

Intereses

I'm interested in music, art, dance, photography, drawing. I enjoy everything that is creative or that helps you express yourself.
Sometimes i like to read, but more often i like to see a good movie. I like to have a laugh watching stand-up comedy or just in real life among friends.

I like to play some board games (Settlers of Catan, Risk,...), poker, Tarok, cards in general.

I love a great conversation, having fun, but i also like my time alone and respect others also.

I like sports and outdoors activities. My whole life was always accompanied by different sports, many times by more than one at the time. So i was in Tennis school for 13 years, in Alpine ski school for about 4-5, i did some gymnastics for a short period of time and was dancing Hip hop for 5.
But all this aside, i also like to be lazy. So it happens that one day i do absolutely nothing, just chilling and another day i can't stop moving and be still. So, in normal life, i'm not a couch potato, but once in a while doing exactly this, feels so freaking awesome.

Música, películas y libros

Music means the world to me. I like my music in all variations, but if i have to point out one, i'd have to say that it is electronic music. I like the culture that comes with it, the whole P.L.U.R. movement (passion, love, unity, respect), the clubbing, raves, after parties and the people that come with it. I like to keep my electronic music underground. I like minimal, deep house, techno, IDM (not EDM), breakbeat, glitch, ambient, experimental etc. The list goes on and on and especially with electronic music it is very hard to stay with only one genre.
In general, i don't like commercial music, summer top hits, "trillion hits/views pop" on youtube etc. I come across a commercial song that i like once in a while, i would be lying if i said the opposite. I also enjoy some rock, grunge, indie rock/pop, spanish guitar, acoustic songs, anything with violin, anything with flute, Native Indian music, Chinese and Japanese music, some music from India, stuff like Ryoji Ikeda (the whole Raster Noton label) etc.
I really like the experience of music and visuals combined, it happens a lot with modern music. I think that it puts a person to a whole new perspective, since he is no longer only a listener but a viewer also. The music becomes explained through the visual perspective but at the same time keeps the unpredicted essence that is still served to the listener for interpretation.

As far as movies go, i think that the best movies fall under Drama genre. The movie can be mixed genre, but Drama must be a part of it. I like movies that force you to think while you're watching. I mean, it all depends on the occasion, i like easy movies also, just to clear my head. Movies must make you wander and they must definitely keep surprising you throughout the movie and coughing you off guard. I like movies that are not evident and everything comes together at the end and often completely twists and puts upside down everything that you thought was going to happen.
That is also the reason i like Asian movies, since you cannot predict the outcome and it's usually not a happy ending hero kind of movie. Their philosophy and culture is so different, that it is just beautiful to watch their movies. So much pain and honour at the same time.

A couple of movies that i like in general: Shutter Island, Oldboy (original), The flowers of War, The Prestige, Children of Men, City of Gods, The perks of being a wallflower, City of Ember, Interstellar, Moon, Man from Earth, Sin city, This is England, Battle Royale, I Origin, The fault in our stars, Seven Samurai, Source Code...

I also like cartoons, the good ones have great philosophy and meaning behind them and are a must watch for adolts: Horton hears a who!, Wall-E, 9, How to train your dragon, Ratatouille, Up, ...

And the cartoon series: Avatar: the last airbender, The legend of Korra and of course, the legendary Dragon ball and Dragon ball Z (+ all the DB anime movies)

One book that i really liked was Dostoyevsky: Crime and punishment. The Russian realism. This book really dragged me in. And also Harry Potter. I'm not actually a bookworm, but i like to read a book now and then, depends on how busy i am. I definitely read more when i was a kid.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I passed 16 final exams and finished my last year at University of Arts Ljubljana, Department of Philosophy, wrote and completed my thesis/diploma paper with the highest grade and got my degree (at the same department), finished and passed my first year for an Audio engineer degree at SAE Istitute Ljubljana and had daily 8-hour job, all at the same time in the same year.

(haha it's funny because this is the first time i had to write about something like this or answer such a question. I was always really modest about it, but i must admit, now when i read it myself, it looks kind of cool haha;))

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Anything that you would like to know about me. I can teach and tell you anything about my home country, i can teach you my language, i can tell you a little bit about Europe's history, i can teach you how to play tennis, how to ski.

I can tell you a little bit about music and the process of making a song from recording to the radio station, how to record instruments, how to mix them, how to do your own music with a computer, how to edit certain sounds, what programs to use...

I can share my experiences travelling, my experiences working and life in general at our beautiful tent camp for kids in Croatia.

My granddad has a flat in Munich, Germany, so i can maybe give some info on the city, it really has a beautiful energy.
