Overview
About Me
I am a software engineer from California traveling between school and work.
I am an avid trekker, and enjoy anything outdoors. I am also fascinated by history and culture and enjoy learning about the social, political, linguistic, religious, and economic pasts of the places I've been. I read basically anything I can get my hands on.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The way you walk in the woods--as a hiker, a botanist, a climber, or a hunter--will affect what you notice, even if you see the same thing.
Similarly, how you travel in a city--hotel, apartment, hostel, homestay--affects what you notice, even if you see the same thing.
I want to meet you and understand the places I am traveling through better, and see and do the things I would not know or think to pick out myself!
Interests
I have many interests! In terms of things to do, I am always down to do anything outdoors, learn about local history, or just hang out.
I love talking about many interests! Favorite topics include trekking, history, software engineering, Scouting, psychology, cooking, television shows, linguistics, roller derby, and skiing.
