About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring the world - making friends around the globe.

ABOUT ME

Hey everybody ;)

I'm Tim, 20 years old and I'm currently backpacking around the world. I started my trip
without any planning in september. Having just finished the Camino de Santiago, I now want to hitchhike where life takes me and stop for a workaway in the places I like.

I would describe myself as a very open-minded, reliable and adventure-loving person with whom you can laugh and talk about many things. I love to meet new people and get inspirated by their different life stories.

In my free time I like to do all kinds of sports, currently that maily hiking, running and volleyball. For mental sport I like to meditate. I love to discover lost places, make music and try out new things.

I'm looking forward to meet you ;).

Many greetings
Tim

PHILOSOPHY

The world is a small place. Don't stay in your comfort zone, get your butt up, visit some countries, meet people and broaden your horizon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In the last few months I realized that I really want to go out into the world again to travel. I was inspired by a book in which a young German leaves home with 50 euros and travels around the world for almost 3 years, experiencing an incredible number of adventures. So I will also set off in mid-September to my adventure 😉

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music, it´s massively depending on my mood.
my favourite books are "Der Medicus", "Der Alchimist" and "Mit 50 euro um die Welt"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my voluntary year in Ecuador, I worked at as an English teacher for the children in school. On my way to work I always passed by Gina´s house (of one of my colleges at work). On one afternoon she invited me to come inside and together with her husband and her two sons we spent the afternoon eating fresh mangos, talking about our different culures and laughing. Every time I came by after that, they invited me again, offered me delicious ecuadorian food, and took me to family parties. Their hospitality inspired me very much, because although they themselves did not have much money, they treated me like their own son.

Teach, Learn, Share
