Hey folks,

my Name is Tim Lange, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Dillenburg (Hessen, Germany).
My Work & Travel adventure started on September 10th in 2014. The first few months was near Toronto.

I passed my A levels at the beginning of this year. I have also done 2 summer jobs and one Internship. I did my Intership as a toolmaker at Weber GmbH & Co. KG in Dillenburg. The first summer job in the technical center of quality testing at KLINGSPOR Management GmbH & Co. KG in Haiger and the last one as a process mechanic and management assistant at Reinhard Bretthauer GmbH in Frohnhausen.

Previous host family
2 years ago I took part in a student exchange. I was in San Diego for 1 month and lived with my host family.
My exchange student is at the same age than me. He also has three sisters (10, 12 & 20 years old).
It was an awesome time staying with them and to get to know how they live. We became very good friends and we are still in touch and I would be really happy if I could stay with such a nice host family again!

In addition to that I have a lot of volunteer experience:
Trainer-assistant of the TV Dillenburg swimming section
I support the main swimming coach during the lessons. I have two own groups which I train. I explain the technique of the four swimming strokes to the children and give them exercises for practicing.

Active member or the Federal Agency for Technical Relief, THW
Technical and logistical support for other (German) GOs, NGOs or other authorities like fire brigades, police or the custom authorities. Technical or humanitarian relief in foreign countries, as assigned by the government. Technical relief in Germany as part of national civil protection measures.

Active member or the Federal Agency for Technical Relief Youth, THW-Jugend
The THW-Jugend aims to introduce their young members in a playful manner to the technique of the Federal Agency for Technical Relief.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I decided for couchsurfing because I think it's an unique opportunity to get in touch with local people and to learn first hand how things work in the different cities and countries and this is probably an easy and nice way to achieve that.
