Kia ora! I'm a student studying Commerce, and I'm involved in a couple of small startups as well. I used to fly gliders, and I ran an education startup during high school for learning foreign languages. I will be hosting people along with my two flatmates. One of the other two flatmates is a full-time chef, and the other is a psychology student - both of whom speak Japanese (I don't myself).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to host people from around the world at our flat in Christchurch in the hope of helping them have a great time in New Zealand, and learning about their stories and home countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite music is a mixed bunch; I'm a fan of Frank Sinatra and Van Morrison but also Avicii, Queen, Elton John, Kygo, Meat Loaf, Cold Chisel...I play the piano as well so I enjoy most jazz and rock. Dunkirk and The Godfather are my favourite movies, and as for books I like the Singularity Is Near by Ray Kurzweil, and all Freakonomics books.

I flew a glider solo when I was 14, for a 3 hour flight and somehow made it back alive?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've lived in Christchurch most of my life and a little bit in Seattle. I can definitely share the best eating and travelling spots in the city and plenty more across the rest of the South Island too!

As for accomodation, we'll be sharing the a flat with a fireplace and there's a fold-out sofa bed for guests.
