About Me

We speak English. Je parles français un peu. Habla español un poco. ผมพูดภาษาไทยนิดหน่อย. All languages are welcome. We can use Google Translate. We can teach one other.

My partner Steve and I have just finished a 19-month cycle tour across 28 countries in Europe and Asia, including Portugal to Turkey, Hungary to Holland, plus India, Thailand, and Myanmar.

We would love to host other travelers and pay forward the hospitality that has been shown to us over the past few years. We love to meet other travelers, especially cyclists, and hear about your trip!

About us: We are simple and easy going guys living in San Diego, California USA. We are in our 40s and 50s and love cycling, good food, and travel. We are a gay, non-religious couple, but all are welcome to stay with us; we are accepting of and respect all nationalities, races, orientations, gender identities, religions, and cultures. We are omnivores, but we are happy to accommodate meals for vegetarians, vegans, and other special diets with at least two days notice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Really interested in meeting folks from around the world to chat about our travels and adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Steve and I rode our bicycles 23,000km (14,000mi) through 28 countries in Europe and Asia, including Portugal, Turkey, Thailand, Myanmar, India, Croatia, Montegro, Albania, ...

Before that, in the summer of 2016, we rode our bicycles across the US 2,300 miles from Vancouver, Canada to Tijuana, Mexico. We stayed in campgrounds and with friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

Would love to teach others about the joys of bicycle touring and bicycle riding in general, as well as share our experiences on the road. Anyone can take a trip like ours, and it's a lot easier than most people think! I can maybe do some simple repairs if your bike is not working, though my experience is limited.

We are really eager to learn more about local cultures around the world and understand what makes your home special, especially about local food traditions; we like to try new dishes. I'm also a fair cook and may prepare something for you if we are cooking at home. I'm also really interested in languages and would love to learn a few words of your native language.

I can maybe help out with any computer / smartphone questions or problems.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We love to talk with others about their travels and our own, especially about bicycle touring. See my "teach, learn, share" section in my profile for more!
