I drove though a Mississippi ice storm to pick up Max who was couch-surfing with my friend in Memphis. We got to Blue bird cafe in Clarksdale, MS and there was a sheet of ice on the road. We hung out in the cafe and met some nice folks from Spain, and I got to play "Ain't misbehavin'" with Watermelon Slim. It turned out that Max had played guitar in front of 7+ million people of France's "The Voice". We drove back to Memphis safely, and parted ways both with fantastic stories in our back-pockets.
