About Me
Well hello, friend! Congrats on being the couchsurfing type, because we all know we're the best kind of people to be. As for me, I was born and raised in Indiana, lived in Australia for seven months, settled in Sarasota, Florida for seven years writing for various publications and playing music, and now live in Denver, CO gigging at night with a day job in marketing.
I'm super laid-back, I love meeting cool people and seeing new places, and I can practically sleep anywhere. I'm pretty much as low maintenance as you get. I've whittled my possessions down to fit everything in my vehicle. That includes two guitars, ukulele, mandolin, midi keyboard and a PA system. If you like to play music, I'm always down to jam. I look forward to hearing your story!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As for the reason I want to couchsurf rather than book rooms, it's all about the adventure, getting to know the locals, and participating in the sharing experience. Saving money is part of it, but I'm also excited about hosting other surfers at my place, and developing mutual relationships with other travelers that can be built up over several trips. When you're a touring musician, it's always nice to have friends in town. And I always love showing guests what Denver is all about. It's a beautiful spot.
Interests
Obviously, I love playing music and going to concerts and festivals. I've found a passion trying to live minimalist. I love working out barters, skill trades, or any other mutually beneficial deal where both parties leave happy. Locally grown organic food is also my bag. And I'm into lifting weights and staying fit through all manner of strenuous physical activity, especially hiking and kayaking.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music... I'll say that the artists that draw me closest are those with a humanitarian effort at heart. Old school you might think Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix or Beatles. New school might be Michael Franti, Dispatch or Brett Dennen. There really is no start or end. I love everything from classical to death metal. As far as writers, my favorites are Hunter Thompson and Ernest Hemingway. When it comes to movies, Almost Famous and Legends of the Fall.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Chasing baby kangaroos around the Australian outback. Black water rafting through caves in New Zealand. Sailing up the Yasawa island chain in Fiji.
There's three.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn to cook. I want to learn as many languages as I can assemble in my head space. I want to learn every local custom prior to the point where I needed to know that custom. I want to discover as much about the flora and fauna of particular regions as possible. I will teach and share with you whatever I have to give.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Not gonna lie... Denver is awesome. Let me know if you want to come up. This land was made for you and me.
