About Me

Currently a graduate student studying for my PhD in chemistry at Cambridge. When I'm not busy studying there is nothing I'd rather be doing than cycling or traveling the world. On a mission to do as much exploration as possible during my year in the UK. I am always open for meeting new people in new places, and find no greater joy than traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing because I have the awesome opportunity to be in Europe this year and would like to see as much as I can on a student's budget. I also prefer to meet local people when I travel so that I can get a better idea for what a place is really like. When I have cycle toured in the past, the highlight of the journey has been people I have met along the way. Those people have given me a sense of optimism for humanity that I think it quite rare these days, which I attempt to spread to all that I can. So I look forward to meeting more people and learning more about this little planet we inhabit, I hope to visit you soon!

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything by Kurt Vonnegut will keep me engaged for hours. Favorite book is probably "Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman.
Music tastes are varied but tend towards either rock, reggae, or electronic. I'm always up to go see any genre of live music though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In the summer of 2018 I rode my bicycle solo across the United States. 4700 miles in 67 days

Teach, Learn, Share

I can enlighten you in the field of biochemistry, maybe share my mediocre cooking abilities, and certainly partake in deep philosophical discussion surrounding any topic!

I can try to fix your broken bike if you host me! I'm also happy to share stories of travels or be a hiking partner
