ABOUT ME

Hi there! I'm Tim (obviously) and I'm from a little town in the Netherlands, called Lisse. If you've ever heard of the Keukenhof, the flowerpark that millions of people visit each year, you've heard of where I grew up (:

Since august 2015 I am living and in Sassenheim, close to my hometown Lisse and just up from the city of Leiden. Until recently I studied (and used to live) in The Hague at Leiden University College, the Liberal Arts and Sciences bachelor of Leiden University and I hope to get by BSc by 2017. So that meant commuting to The Hague during the week and enjoying the comfort of my home region: best of both worlds. I just got my degree so right now I'm focussing more on work and finding out what to do next with my life :')

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've got a sleeping couch in my appartment in Sassenheim for two people and I can if necessary host one or two more on the ground. But for me two people is about max. And of course I will show you around the region if possible!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I do not yet have any Couchsurfing experience since my car broke down before I could get to my first "couch", but I can sleep everywhere so the next time I need to sleep somewhere abroad I will definitely search for couches (: Also I've hosted some surfers now, and it was always an awesome experience!

Interests

Right now my main interests besides study are dancing and scouting. I have been doing Ballroom and Latin dances for the past ten years and I enjoy doing that very much. I'm always moving to the rhythm when there's a good song on the radio and longing to get on the dance floor again! I'm a member of scouting even longer, I started when I was five, so thats 19 years now! Still enjoying camps in the summer and get-togethers every week (: I also like to go out for sports, including running, squash and fitness.

Music, Movies, and Books

All music is fine by me; I listen jazz, dance, rock, partymusic, classical, dubstep, house, techno, punk, soul, funk, und so fort und so weiter!
Futhermore I like comedies, thrillers and sci-fi movies and any good literature or a good detective novel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer you a place to stay obviously, and I can give you a look into the Dutch flower region, or Leiden en The Hague. They are beautiful and diverse cities all on their own and a small tour is never a problem!
