About Me

I love learning the culture, interests and habits of the locals of any country! I enjoy traveling in my own time, without much planning and meeting as many locals as possible along the way.
I am passionate about music - I play the drums, guitar and sing. When you catch me traveling, chances are I'll have a small guitar on me!
I also enjoy making things, be it physical (furniture, instruments) or virtual (software).
The environment is very precious to me - by foot or bike I like to explore it, by avoiding waste I like to keep it the way it is :)

I just started working as a data scientist and have to commute a lot. Will almost never be there during the day, and sometimes be in Amsterdam on weekends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In 2012/13 I travelled in many countries for a year, using Couchsurfing a lot.
During my university years I let it slip a bit, although I hosted a number of people in Maastricht.
Now I will go to Latin America and hope to surf some more!
I am always interested in meeting up with couchsurfers anywhere and share stories - just send me a message and we can have a chat/beer/coffee!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted in many of Europe's major cities and always had a great time.
The people I met were amazing and had lots of great stories to tell. I have also been to many Couchsurfing events, like a big party in Lisbon where about 70 couchsurfers from all over the world met up and had a great time together. Twice I met couchsurfers again on a different continent, by chance.

Teach, Learn, Share

Reflect upon things and improve!
You get back what you give some day.
It'll somehow work out.
(my motto)

I can teach my languages, some music (especially rhythm :)) and would love to learn the same from you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Music!
I can play or suggest new music. If you want I can teach you some percussion or guitar rhythms.
Stories!
I have a few - ask me about anything, perhaps about what happened in a particular country while travelling.
