About Me

My friends say I'm a very kind, energetic, and passionate person. Hiker, wanderer, writer, artist. I like working with my hands, meeting new folks and hearing stories, deep conversation, and meaningful questioning.

Always learning from this grand experiment called life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, exchange cultural knowledge, make the world a little smaller and friendlier. Excited to one day host, though my tiny current apartment in NY can’t do it!

Fascinated by the natural world, and committed to trying to understand the human place within it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I love learning! Hence nonfiction like Michael Pollan, Rebecca Solnit, Bill Bryson. Also love me a novel, currently very interested in speculative fiction. Margaret Atwood, Kim Stanley Robinson, Octavia Butler. Long time lover of sci-if/fantasy, utopias and dystopias.

Music: Rock, Dance, Pop, Hip Hop, R&B, Americana/Folk, Electronic. All over the place from Gregory Porter to Regina Spector to Bassnectar to Sufjan Stevens to White Lung. Recently listening to Elephant Revival and Doomtree a lot, which are quite opposites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving was one of the greatest feelings! Beyond words. Walking up the steps of Machu Picchu in the early morning fog. Driving across the United States from California to New York. Watching the sunset from Piazza Michelangelo in Firenze (Florence).

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to hear your story, and learn about the place you live. The diversity and abundance of this world is a blessing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A drawing, a poem, a meal, and washing the dishes!

Countries I’ve Visited
