About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live every day as if it were my last!

ABOUT ME

Yo Yo Yo! Simply put: I love life. I don't have time to waste being sad, or living in regret. I definitely laugh at my own jokes more than anyone else does. My brain is not big enough for all that I want to learn, see and experience. I never want to stop learning and growing until I'm the best me possible.
I'm a friendly and outgoing guy, that loves traveling and meeting people from all corners of the globe! I'm 29 years old, and an English and History teacher, as well as swim and water polo coach at a local high school. I also home brew beer in my apartment. You can try some.
Boom, the basics about me.

PHILOSOPHY

The end will justify the pain it took to get us there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted 10 lovely groups from all over the world in Los Angeles, before I moved to Europe for 7 months. I lived in Rome and then backpacked the Old Continent for 3 months. Staying with friends I'd made through CouchSurfing, making new friends, and having the time of my life. I would love to stay on your couch on one of my many travels, and in return, you will always have a place to stay in Southern California!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted some amazing people so far, and I'm excited to meet new people from around the globe. I love the cultural exchange that happens, and really love touring people around my state.

CouchSurfing has led me to some of the best friendships I've made. I just wish you turds all lived closer haha.

Interests

PEOPLE! I think people are supremely interesting. There's just so many different kinds, shapes, and temperaments. I have to find out what makes people tick, what gets them up in the morning, what makes them cry, laugh, and push forward in life. I am also interested in traveling, exploring new places in my own city, hanging out with friends, and living life to the fullest. I'm also a thrill seeker, whether it's sky-diving, bungee jumping, cliff jumping, race-car driving...etc. I enjoy nature, and like to be outside, go on hikes, and explore.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movies of all time are:
#1 - Inception
#2 - Batman: The Dark Knight
#3 - Jurassic Park

Music: Currently my favorite band is Imagine Dragons, but don't try and pigeon-hole me into one genre. Some of my all time favorites include Journey, Stevie Wonder, Doobie Brothers, Frank Sinatra, and the Temptations. Anything I can roll the windows down and sing to other drivers I'm in for. I love most all music except Screamo (Because I can't sing to it). I especially love Rock, Rap, Dubstep, Folk, Pop, and Country.

Books: The Bible, Jurassic Park and Lost World, Goosebumps Series, The Giving Tree, The Hunger Games, Lord of the Flies, Zombie Survival Guide.

Favorite TV Show: THE WALKING DEAD! Duuuuuuuuude, ish gets crazy on that show. I also watch my Chargers and Padres when they're on (San Diego teams).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a half year European adventure, lived in Rome for 4 months, and backpacked through Europe for 3 months. Oktoberfest in Munich, gondola ride in Venice, top of the Eiffel Tower, prayed in the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, saw the Northern Lights in Tromso, Norway, Stonehenge, sauna and then swam in a frozen lake in Finland, concentration camp and Berlin Wall in Germany, Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, it's really unreal even to think about. I'm so blessed. Going to Singapore, India and Costa Rica all opened my eyes to another side of the world that I'd never seen, and gave me a great respect for the diverse people of the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

CouchSurfing is so much better than going on a guided tour. You get to interact with people from other cultures, show off your city, and learn about the places that only locals know about.

Be kind, be flexible, and be hospitable. The favor will be returned.

Countries I’ve Visited
