About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Follow the moon, wherever it shines.
ABOUT ME
I'm from a small town and I think I've been shaped by a communal mindset. I love community dynamics, small shops, honest conversations and the both the appreciation and dependence on the outdoors. I moved into a 'big' city for University and quickly adapted to the setting. I've fallen in lust with navigating core urban centres, finding their rhythms and finding their authenticity. I'm a chill guy, I like to keep it simple stupid. I live for plants and am always up for an adventure. I love learning new things and showing them to others which makes me a great tour guide.
PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've neglected my profile for quite a while. I've couch surfed on a few occasions and can only say great things. On the other hand, some friends have had some pretty wild stories.
In general, I would rather stay at a stranger's house and get a local perspective than to stay in a hotel. It's a trade of value, knowledge and experience, rather than cash.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hitch-hiking to France from Spain: Picked up by a newly-wed couple in a beat-up winnebago. Beer, baguettes, cheese, fresh Moroccan black olives, quiche, endives. Slept overnight in their Winnebago on their family farm. Woke up to the Pyrenees mountains in backdrop.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to CBC radio one..
Books include Margaret Atwood, Nelly Arcan, Yves Thériault, David Sedaris.. I'm currently reading A short history of progress by Ronald Wright and have many books waiting, some by Chinua Achebe, Arhundati Roy, Graeme Gibson, Gabor Maté....
I love international and independent films, some documentaries (as long as they're constructive and/or educational).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have held a wild baby skunk.
Biked over 300km in 3 days.
Dipped my feet in the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic ocean.
tried microbrew beers from BC, yukon, alberta, saskatchewan, ontario, quebec, new brunswick, and nova scotia.
Teach, Learn, Share
food, foraging, cooking skills, outdoor survival, health, posture. I put a lot of time learning about these things and practicing them. I've kept my first indoor tomato plant over winter and I have a bunch of new ones from the stems now. How about finding wild medicines or food like dandelion root?
If I'm traveling, I don't just wanna learn about the city I'm in. I want to know what the ecosystem is all about!
