About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet some awesome people and learn more about the world we live in.

ABOUT ME

We are thrilled to be living in the amazing Madison, Wisconsin. We met in Chicago, got married a couple of years ago in Switzerland and spent our honeymoon mostly couch surfing through Europe. We are both easy going and fun-loving people who love to travel and meet new people. We are always open to new things and we try to find the good in everyone. We are hoping to make international friends as well as local friends in Madison. We'd love to show you all the things that make Madison the best city ever!

PHILOSOPHY

kindness + compassion + selflessness = inner peace and ultimate happiness

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are here to meet new people, have some exciting new international experiences, and to serve up our extra room for whomever needs it. We can't wait to get the local scoop and give our visitors some exclusive, insider information about Madison and the U.S. Let's be friends!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had an amazing experience in Europe with our hosts, who all were generous, kind, interesting and wonderful! We wouldn't have spent our time there any other way! We've hosted a few friendly folks at our tiny place when we lived in Illinois, and most recently a kick ass film crew of four from Austin. We heart Couch Surfing!

Interests

We are both entrepreneurs who love music, biking, snowboarding, hiking, camping, art, playing and watching baseball, hiking, playing board games, fishing, reading, and going on adventures. And we both like soup. Our main international traveling experience was during our marriage and honeymoon in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Holland. We have been all over the U.S. And we're really banking on winning the lottery and being able to travel more!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing on the top of a mountain in the Alps in Austria a few days after we got married and then hitchhiking down the mountain with a carload of friendly teachers who saved us about 8 hours of walking.

Teach, Learn, Share

Tim can teach you about plants and landscaping, fishing and baseball. Candy can help you with your English or design a logo for your new business, and she can also crochet hats and cook you a nice thai peanut sauce stir fry. We've got loads of rock 'n' roll for you to explore, and we would love to show you the cool bars in Madison. We would both like to learn how to surf.
