About Me
Couchsurfing saved my ass when I was 22, so I'm hoping to return the favor now that I'm 30 and settled with a spot of my own.
I do marketing for a living (online marketing - digital strategy and advertising), and I love electronic dance music.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing helped me out considerably in both Australia and Japan. I had inspiring experiences on there - friendships that took me to jumping on freight trains and staying in squats. Crashing in Mong Kok apartment complexes.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- I really enjoy music of all forms, but follow the electronic music scene religiously.
Drum and bass is one of my favorite forms of music to dance to (and create), but ironically not my favorite scene. My favorite scene is the festival scene - guys and gals really pushing new sounds.
Fiction: McCormac, Philip K. Dick, Hunter S. Thompson, and Jack Kerouac.
Non-Fiction: Mark Manson, Ryan Holiday
Movies (old favorites here, not much of a movie buff): Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Children of Men, Lost in Translation, American Beauty, Requiem for a Dream
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cruising through Vietnam and Laos on a motorcycle
Teach, Learn, Share
TEACH:
Digital Marketing - everything to do with someone visiting your site and up to the point of purchase.
Book Development - I created and launched an Amazon book (Tokyo Nightlife Guide). It's earned a couple hundred bucks, nothing crazy, but I can show you how I went about developing and launching a non-fiction Kindle book.
Music Production - I'm at an intermediate level of production capabilities. You can check out my drum and bass music here to get a feel for where I'm at with it: https://www.soundclound.com/timcdnb
LEARN:
Spanish - language partner
New Movies - cue me in some good ones
Music Production - would love it it if someone could teach me Ableton (the audio program).
