About Me
Update: I give up my paying membership on CS. Since they ask money, you find fewer and fewer active users on this platform. To a point that it no longer makes sense tot pay for it myself. I still love to host people at my place. Please find my profile on Bewelcome, a free alternative.
I used to be quite an avid couchsurfer and host in the past but I've been off since a couple of years due to having kids and all that. I recently seperated, rented a new place and all of a sudden feel the pull to engage again. I would love to use this platform this summer when I will be travelling through the French Alps. I would love to meet people on my travelling paths.
For the traveller or other soul that finds him or herself lost in the surroundings of Mechelen, I can offer a spare room with a bed when my kids are staying with their mother or a roofed over bed in my garden when their beds are taken. :-) You can also expect beers, vegetarian food and an easy going atmosphere. I'm in the mood for deep conversations most of the time.
I guess I'm a rather social person, wouldn't be here otherwise. I like serious conversations but I love having fun and laughter just as much. I like running, mountains, nature in general, science, heavy beers, psychology,...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Realizing that fulfilment comes from within, not from without.
Teach, Learn, Share
Depending of the time you come and your own interests I could offer you a place to land, a meal, a beer, a conversation or time spent together roaming around the surroundings of my living space. Sometimes it's great to see your own environment through the eyes of a traveller.
