Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I joined couchsurfing back in 2006 and it changed my life, met so many amazing people both hosting and surfing.
Stayed with some damn good guys in Glasgow and an amazing family in Inverness, and later their son in Edinburgh. Was brought to a wicked underground party in London and drank some damn good beer in Belgium, then a picnic behind Notre Dame in Paris. Wow. I am really enthralled by the generosity of the people in this community.
I've really enjoyed hosting too, being able to show travelers the same generosity and hospitality, as well as sharing local knowledge, I saw when I am backpacking. I got to host some wonderful people in the places I have lived in Canada, and look forward to more!
Interests
travel, music, art, history, literature and sport. I love sailing, skiing, ice hockey, rugby, football, windsurfing.
I love the outdoors, spend a lot of time in mountains, on beaches, on the sea. I co-own a small sailboat with my brother and love exploring the wild coast of BC.
