About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet new people and see more of the country.

ABOUT ME

I'm usually on a bicycle. I'm mostly a utility/transportation cyclist. I'm open to loosing road races or crashing a mountain bikes, but usually I'm on a heavy commuter with fenders, racks, and dynamo lights. I don't meditate, but assume cycling gives me similar benefits. I tend to be even keeled, reserved, and love Dad jokes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm mostly active within the Cincinnati area. The Cincinnati group and especially the Monday Night Potluck group has been very open and welcoming. Because of CouchSurfing, I've become more at home in Cincinnati in one year, than I did in Cleveland after four years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've surfed in Athens (Ohio), Nashville, Louisville, Indianapolis and Chicago. All of my experiences have been fantastic. It was great having an insider's prospective upon arrival.

Interests

I'm a regular bicycle commuter and occasional bicycle traveler. Last year I completed my first multi-day unsupported bicycle tour along the Oregon coast and it was one of the best things I've ever done. No matter what the day has handed your way, a bicycle ride always makes it better. (Except rain, that's only fun some days.)

I'm an engineer, so I find mechanical systems fascinating and could happily spend the better part of the day elbow deep in grease. My Saturday morning are usually spent doing maintenance on some form of transportation.

One day, I'd like to be a proper musician. But, until that time comes I'll happily bang out short pieces with my friends. Usually on classical guitar, but not always.
