About Me
November 2024: yes, I’m in Belgrade and will be happy to host you
I am a traveller, hiker, photographer, beer, coffee and food lover originally from two contexts: Russian and Lithuanian. Now I'm living in a beautiful city Belgrade. Currently I work in IT as Project/Delivery manager for international companies. Constantly learning new things like languages - currently learning French (actually, restoring it from times when I was fluent in it, which was at school), Serbian and Polish). Also, I am a cycling lover, especially obsessed with vintage lightweight ones, now restoring my lovely Cylo.
I’m hosting in Belgrade 1-2 people at once. I prefer hosting for a few days, and last-minute surfers are very welcomed. I also know what it's like to be stuck in a city you don't know, unable to figure out where to spend the night. I used to find myself in situations like these many times. You will have your own room and everything you’ll need.
I'm finding the CS experience even more unique because I've grown tired of staying in hotels, apartments, or hostels in cities I already know well but where I don't know anyone. At some point during my travels, it started to feel like a crucial element was missing, and I didn't know where else I could go when I'd seen almost everything I was interested in visiting alone.
So, yeah, Couchsurfing is an amazing platform where you can find not just a host but even a buddy to provide extra hints, exchange insights regarding your interests in the location, or be a companion to spend time with (which is honestly my favorite part). That often leads to long-term connections all around the world!
Belgrade is known for its diverse underground parties, clubs, and various events. It's probably one of the liveliest cities I have visited, apart from Moscow and Berlin.
Moreover, the surrounding areas are incredibly beautiful. Just a 20-minute public transport ride from the city, and you are easily accessing stunning hills, rocks, and lakes. And next you can go for mountainy areas of Bosnia, Montenegro or Kosovo which feels like the Alps demo but with the sea right nearby these locations. You can also go on a hike there or take a longer trip to the Danube River in Serbia, which is located near the Romanian border. These places are like something out of a fairy tale.

Interests
Allow me to introduce myself as an avid aficionado of outdoor thrills and exhilaration. Hiking, mountaineering, biking, cycling—they all fuel my passion for adventure. There's nothing quite like the feeling of conquering a challenging trail or exploring the great outdoors on two wheels. And let's not forget the icing on the cake—indulging in the delightfully refreshing elixir known as a good beer. Yes, I relish the taste of a well-crafted brew, which adds that extra touch of satisfaction to my escapades.
