Overview
About Me
I'm a journalist who dreams of exploring the world and writing about my travels. I live in Washington, D.C., and write about politics, but love to travel as much as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to make friends where I travel, and I find it's a lot easier to do when I stay with locals instead of sleeping in a hotel.
Interests
Adventure travel is my favorite way to explore the world. I love cycling and hiking. Someday, I want to ride my bike around the world. I'm also interested in learning how to sail, surf, rock climb, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It took everything I had to jump off a cliff into the deepest lake in America, which is nestled inside of an old volcano. The cliff was only 25 feet high, but I've always been afraid of heights. While everyone else was jumping off the cliff left and right, I stood at the edge for 5 minutes before I built up the courage to go for it. I'm glad I did. It was a life changing experience. I conquered my fear, and now I want to do it again.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be happy to give English lessons to other travelers. As a journalist, I have a pretty good grasp on the language and would love to share that. I'm hoping to learn German myself.
