ABOUT ME

We are Tim and Ali. Lovers of music and art and cultures, languages, colours and cuisine!!

PHILOSOPHY

We're not tourists, we don't "tour" we experience. We live. We don't enjoy seeing places through the eyes of tourists- we like to stay, for a while in the one place- and try to really experience what a place is really like, who the people really are, where the coffee is cheap and the smiles are real, where the vodka flows and the facades peel.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We surf at the moment, but when we settle back down with somewhere that has something that resembles a couch, we will also couch it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been surfing a few couches- started in France- next stop Spain, then who knows where?

We be Tim and Ali, lovers of music, adventure, the arts...
Very easy going, who love a chat and a glass of wine...
We have both trained as actors at the University of Ballarat (1 hour from Melbourne). This is also where we met. We are very fond of animals, travelling, languages and CUISINE!! We love foreign films and anything to do with creativity.
I (Tim) enjoy composing music, esp. film scores and play a variety of instruments. I (Ali) am also a pilates practitioner, singer and enjoy the flying trapeze! :)
Between us we can speak intermediate amounts of French, German y un poco Español and a tiny bit of Italian!
In 2012, we have been travelling all around Europe together, seeking as much adventure and culture as possible!
We've travelled to parts of Africa and South-East Asia together. Now, it's time for Europe!
We look forward to meeting you and experiencing your part of the world through your eyes.

Music.... everything jazz, balkan, gypsy, folk, rock, experimental, classical.

Literature... yes, we enjoy reading books... I shan't write the names... you can have a look at the ones on our shelves.

Movies...Films... we love them. See them often. Prefer foreign, art house, strange...
We have a projector so you can bring your favourites and we can have an alfresco with drinks and nibbles and mosquitos...
We also enjoy writing. Composing music. Acting in film and stage.

Watching the new years eve sunset over Ankor Wat in Cambodia and then watching the new years sunrise over Ankor Wat. Stunningly breathtaking scenery!!
Swimming in the crystal clear, bath warm water on the beaches of Zanizbar Tanzania
