Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To create a space in the world for people to embrace bold new ideas
ABOUT ME
I grew up in New England, mostly Connecticut, but really enjoyed spending time with my grandparents in Vermont.
Joined the USAF in 1984 repairing aircraft simulators. Received a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Oklahoma State University ... learned to sail.
Worked @ Mercury Marine for 14 years, held various management positions. Left there to pursue my own interests.
I have 3 great kids. I enjoy laughing at movies even when no one else is. I like to hike, try new foods ... though try to keep to a vegetarian diet when possible.
PHILOSOPHY
The reality is in the moment, and we get to choose who we are in that moment, how we express ourselves, and who we choose to become.
I believe we are all on a journey to enlightenment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just starting with couch surfing .
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My first experience ... I was attending a meditation group, and needed a place to stay for the evening, the person that offered up a couch happened to be a couch surfer. They were great hosts.
Interests
I like exploring, and creating. Paint watercolors on occasion, flowers mostly. I enjoy flying when I get a chance. Intelligent, aware, conversation I enjoy immensely ... topics range from peak oil, environmental issues and its ramifications, to beauty we experience in everyday life, to life challenges.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Johnathan Livingston Seagull, Four Agreements, Tao Te Ching. Movies: like movies that bring each of us, that are open to the experience, to a place where we can reflect on being present in our own lives. Could be a darker movie like Blade Runner that has moments of awareness or My Dinner with Andre. ... or anything in between.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went Skydiving once, tandem, four years ago. Remember having butterflies sitting with my legs out the door... and in a moment I was no longer afraid to die, the butterflies went away, I was happy! We rolled out the door... that was pretty cool.
