About Me

Hey there to all couchsurfers who still keep this community active,

from the 11.06.22 until 16.06.22 a friend and me have chartered a sailing boat in Harlingen, Netherlands. We plan to explore the West Frisian Islands. For that we will sail sometimes the full day and on other days only a couple hours. There will be time to throw a camera around our necks and explore the beautiful harbor towns with their little coffee shops, cosy bars and traditional restaurants.

You would be expected to pay a contribution for the charter fee depending on the amount of the days you spend on the boad. It will be around 50 €/day. Additionally some costs will apply for food, drinks and gas. We will share the costs evenly.

Many see miles and multiple trips as captain have made my friend an experienced sailer that I completely trust for this trip. My experience amounts to about 6 Weeks on the Atlantic and the Med and I will be his competent crew. The two of us can sail the boat and while no sailing experience is needed we do appreciate a helping hand on deck as well as an overall curiosity to learn how to sail.

Please feel free to write a message if you have any questions.

ABOUT ME

A friend in Haifa once said to me; "Life is funny and then you die." It pretty much says it all. Live while you are alive, give life a chance, and accept/let go of what is in the past. It formed you, it made you, but it does not predetermine or excuse you. In other words; the past is the past the future is now.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in self-dependent people that dare to use their own brain, dont take everything for granted and act accordingly.
