About Me

G'day! My name is Tim. Friends call me Timmy.
Outdoors is where we'll find me.
Born in Melbourne and raised in the countryside.
I'm laid back, not one to stress. I'd say I'm a people person, I try to get a laugh or smile out of anyone. A Larrikin is the Australian term to describe me. I LOVE PUNS

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Finding people in other countries, who can accept me for who I am, can broaden my knowledge of their culture, allow me to share their home and vis versa.

To find another human being in this world of billions, that has generosity and compassion. Who opens their home, swap tales and enjoy's the company of a fellow traveler. Couch surfing helps bring people together. (Only a small percentage ruins it for the rest)

To help cut the cost, to make the journey longer.

Interests

Basically all outdoor activities. Unless it directly leads to self harm, like bear wrestling....
Been into photography for many years. Self taught over the many moons and enjoy the power an image can create. Slowing delving into art.
I am an Apiarist and love it! Bee's are an incrediblely fascinating creatures and I will happily tell you all I know. Like how forager bee's inform others of food nearby, by doing the 'bee dance'. Or that all the workers in the hive are Female!
My day job is Automative Mechanic. Though I'm a jack of all trades, master of none, knowing a little of everything, makes for a better world me thinks.
Believe it or not, I've got dance moves.

Music, Movies, and Books

Jackie Chan and Donny Yen are my favourite actors. Can't deny my love for martial art films any longer.
My all time favourite director and artist is Hayao Miyazaki. His films are powerful and beautiful. Oh, 'Lucy' by Luc Besson. Or 'Revolver' with Jason Statham.
Books? Finally finished 'The Wheel of Time' series, by Robert Jordan. 3 years later...
Music? I've played in metal and punk band's, in years gone by. I'm a sucker for catchy beats and smooth rhymes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Worked as a Forest Firefighter in Australia.
-Performed first aid and saved a man's life while traveling.
-Being myself (super fricking rad dude 🤙🏼 shaka)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my knowledge of Australia. Or any other country I've been too. Always happy to talk about Bee's, motorcycles, mountains, mother nature, any topic whatsoever, or just lend an ear.
Can teach you some Bushidokan if you'd like.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a good cook/baker, mechanic, handy man, lively company and can tell a good story too. Can help with car problems or tell you it's cactus or tell you about succulents.

Will create food and make your house smell really nice. Or, hangout with a beer/wine, talk about random jazz and procrastinate about the world as it is. Have a laugh, live easy. Simple things in life, are the best things in life.

Can offer hand shakes. Hugs too.
