How to describe myself...funny, creative, cheeky, sometimes quiet. I like to go out and have some drinks with good people, but I also like to spend time with myself. In short, I'm a decent, if slightly hesitant guy trying to find his way in the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because I am on the road I am looking for places to stay. I can´t reciprocate as of yet because, even if I returned to Scotland, I don´t have my own residence.

Interests

Music - all types, from funk to soul, indie, folk, classical - as long as it´s good music I don´t really care what style it is. Although hip-hop is my favourite genre.
I love to read, write and take in a good film.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music. Hip-hop, neil young, funk and soul, stone roses, pink floyd, fever ray, camera obscura, razorlight, reggae, REM, peter green and the list goes on and on. I also write songs and MC and play the guitar in a novice manner.
Movies. My favourite directors are the Coen brothers, Scorcesse, david cronenberg, spike lee, Jim jarmusch, Michael Mann to name but a few. I love comedy, gangster, independant and world movies.
My favourite authors are Charles Bukowski, George Pelacanos, Iceberg Slim, Roald Dahl (from my younger days!). Favourite books: Ham on rye, Trick Baby, Portrait of a young man drowning, Blue Belle, Down and out in Paris and London.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have lots to learn - about everything! Maybe improve my novice guitar playing for a start. I also hope to return the generosity that people have shown me, welcoming me into their homes and feeding me. What I have to offer is something I am still trying to figure out.
