Overview
About Me
I am a 26 year old robotics engineer, hoping to start my PhD at Monash University soon. I studied in Germany then traveled for a year through South America and Europe. I am a recent addition to Melbourne, but I live in a really great flat with really cool people, so I'm sure you will have a great time here!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling around as cheaply as possible while meeting as many people as possible too (by hitch hiking and dumpster diving for example). I think couchsurfing is a great way of doing this and I want to enable others to get around cheaply and awesomely too! Also, it's so so enriching to meet locals and learn about where they live, and it feels oh so good to show visitors the choicest places. Plus, CS is just full of such an amazing diverse bunch!
Interests
Bouldering, climbing up stuff, cooking, playing music, writing letters, playing around with my awesome new 3D printer, dreaming about alternate histories, math, nerdy stuff...

Music, Movies, and Books
I read too much and listen to too much to have a certain favourite. But some of the more favourite:
Salmonella dub
Angus and Julia stone
Saint germaine
Superette
Iggy pop
Placebo
Major lazer
Phillip poisel
Much more...
As to books, I love historical fiction and non fiction, my favourite author is Robert Harris.
I don't watch too many movies, no real favourites there.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Err...eaten 2kg of spaghetti in one go?..that was amazing :D Built an egg engraving machine, 3D printer and parts for a multi million Euro robot. I've been in many caves and travelled a fair bit. For Christmas in Germany I snared some ducks and cooked them up for the flat.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn new things, so please show me some!! As to teaching, what do you want to know? This is probably a good place to mention that I'm not too interested in hosting people who are just looking for a free hostel. While the economic benefits of CS are fantastic, I want to have people who are interested in doing things together. So please show me that you've read my profile!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My fantastic company of course and cooking skills :D
