ABOUT ME

Hi, it's me Timo, a young guy, born in Portugal but living in the north of Germany in Hamburg.
Obsessed by music and the believe that you can achieve everything if you just believe in your own strenghts.
Most of my friends describe me as a friendly, openminded and relaxed person. I like to get in contact with people from other countries and cultures and I believe in the good in man- otherwise couchsurfing just wouldn't work.

On the one hand I try to host people where ever it is possible and show them my hometown on the other hand I try to be a good guest with whom you can have a great time while hosting me ;)

I can only say it's great - I met so many different people and many of them became friends.

Interests

I'm very Interested in culture, art, lituratur and foreign languages/ countries.
My main Interest is music - since I play the piano, some other instruments at very low level and I love to sing too.

But I also love to play and to listen to more crazy and experimental music

Also I like to cook, to go out at night and just to have some fun, and I'm interested in politics and activism since I once was active in a greenpeace group.

Bob Marley, Manu Chao, Beatles, Doors, Gogol Bordello, Radiohead, The Velvet Underground, Sigur Ros, Wolfmother, Fink, Jose Gonzales, Paul Kalkbrenner, Pink Floyd, Sonic Youth, Joy Division, Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Chuck Berry, Jefferson Airplane and a lot of not so common bands...

I loved to read "1984", "Sophie's World", "Submarino", "The Alchimist"and a lot of other which I can't remember at the moment

I'm not a fan of the typical hollywoodmovie, I'm more into Arthousemovies. But of course there are also some really famous movies which I like a lot.
Especcially I like skandinavian movies - there is a very unique Filmfestival in Lübeck (My-Ex-Hometown) where only movies from north europe, so mostly from skandinavia are shown - It takes place every year in November. So you if you're into skandinavian movies - go there!
