I grew up in California and traveled the US as a kid, also making it to bordering countries like Canada and Mexico.

In 2015, I finally put my passport to use and traveled to Japan and Korea.

In 2016, I'm traveled through Western Europe, and met amazing people while I told them not to blame me for Donald Trump.

In 2019, I will be backpacking in China, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia. I would love to meet you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet people from around the world! My couches are available for use and I would like to be able to meet hosts when I travel Thailand and Vietnam!

Interests

Travel is obviously an interest in mine, as is meeting new people and helping others.

I love a good conversation over a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, or a craft beer. l also enjoy trying foods from around the world.

Cooking is a passion of mine and I would like to learn to cook some new dishes while traveling.

I'm a musician, and since I was little, I've wanted to pick up a guitar and play a song while the pub's patrons sing along.

Music: The Beatles, Miles Davis, Radiohead, Neil Young, Norah Jones, The Clash, Bob Dylan, Blink-182, Tycho, Blur, A Tribe Called Quest, etc. I'm a lover of Music.

Movies: The Godfather, Citizen Kane, City of God, Windy City Heat, Back to the Future, Star Wars, Apocalypse Now, anything by Tarantino.

Books: David Sedaris, Patricia O'Brein, Neil Strauss, Kim Gordon, and Tim Ferriss. I was an English major in college and love reading.

I love anything that can make me laugh or think--especially if it can make me do both.

I can teach you how to make some basic Californian dishes using only a few ingredients. I can also teach you how to play some things on the guitar.

One of my goals is to learn how to make a dish in each country I visit! I’d love to learn how to cook some traditional Vietnamese and Thai dishes!
