Hi everyone ! I'm Tim, a 24 yo Modern Foreign Languages Teacher in the UK, I'm based in Portsmouth !
I love being a teacher because I see life as a human experience and I thrive on social interactions. I am always seeking to meet new people, discover new culture... That's why I moved from France to the UK to teach and live there.
I am a really social person, I love to teach (obivously #1) and I also learn so much from the people I meet, their experience, what I learn from every conversation. I want to create powerful memories with the people I meet on my way !
Also about me, I love music, I play the bass in a band, I also play a bit of acoustic guitar ! I love languages (obivously #2) because I believe it is a wonderful way to keep and open mind and broaden my perspectives !
I am also a summer camp and director, I love these jobs that allow me to travel and meet even more people, and work with teenagers, it is just so much fun !
In July I will be in Madrid for MadCool Festival and I'd be happy to meet up ! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why I signed up here is simple : I want to travel abroad and couchsurfing is a fantastic opportunity either to meet up with people sharing the same interests as you, someone showing interest in the country you live in/ you visit.
I want to share with people. I believe I have something to teach or to bing to everyone, and everyone has definitely got something for me to learn from... That's what life is about isn't it?

I'm also always seeking to discover new bands (Arkells, Greta Van Fleeet, , The Glorious Sons, Highly Suspect, Catfish and the Bottlemen....)
Sometimes I listen to rap music too, I'm trying to get into it !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had the chance to travel a lot with my parents during my childhood, so I've seen incredible landscapes and countries.
More recently I visited North Wales with some friends, climbed Snowdon, and the view and the mount itself was stunning !
But if I had to pick a moment, I'd say the day I met Scorpions' members, literally a dream come true !

And the simple fact of moving from France to the UK, sort of leaving a lot behind to become a MFL teacher, I am really proud of that !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would say pretty much everything. My passion for music, instruments, music culture, education and horizons.
I just love to talk to people about anything, sometimes I would just meet someone for a couple of hours and have random conversations about the world, these moments are just stuck in time !
I love to share my knowledge of languages, I can teach French, English, even some Spanish and German why not ! I am French so I'll be happy to try and cook something for my hosts !
