Overview
About Me
Live in a high-rise apartment in midtown Toronto, close enough to downtown core. Fortunate enough to go off to work every day in a government job that allows me the exotic lie style I live (that's a sarcastic sentence). Fortunately, I do like and enjoy my life in the big city - perhaps something interesting to show you while your here seeing what Toronto has to offer. It's a fine place to be
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I certainly know what it's like to land in a new place knowing nothing, no one and have no clue of absolutely anything - very rewarding and hard work yet usually easy in the end - just baffling sometimes. So, if I can make it less daunting for a lost soul to find it's way around Toronto, all the better.
Karma dictates that you get what you give, so, with that thought, if I can provide you with a place to be for a short while, all the best, perhaps it will pan-out that I will be the recipient of it in my adventures in a lost land.
Make your travel life a little easier in the end.
Interests
Motobikes that go zoom
China and things Asia fascinate me to no end
Paddles and dragon boat
Buddhist mountains, shrines, stupas, temples
Himalayan mountain range - Prayer flags
Music, Movies, and Books
If you've ever listened to CBC - Radio Canada, well, those are the sounds I consume. Variety, knowledge radio with world beats and tunes from all over our mostly harmless planet . Variety of music is important (not classical, baroque or acid jazz).
For some odd logic, music from other lands that I cannot understand the words to, the melody, beat and style is most important for my ears
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To say I've done amazing things may be a stretch ..... I've not conjured any miracles (yet), healed the ill'n or solved how that perplexing problem of how they put the caramel into the those little chocolate squares ... yet, I've done marvelous things in my travel and life that just may be equivalent when you stack them up.
If one thing, I've managed to stay off the pavement - I drive a pretty blue race bike around the highways and byway of Toronto's biggest and at times scariest pavement.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been told I'm not teachable .... but I purposely learn a tremendous amount every day from everyone about everything . In my eyes, we are all equal, none better or brighter than the next, neither richer or poorer or more important than the other - share the life, follow your soul and gather good people and positive experiences on the path to grandmas house in the forest !
I could teach my sense of humour and positive sarcastic nature, but they may be more of a learned trait.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The life, the perspective, the things I know and want to know.
Make an effort to lead a good, inclusive and honest existence - and appreciate it from other humans.
