Overview
About Me
My name is Tim, and I live in Knoxville, TN. I have lived here for 7 years now. I am finishing up with my doctorate of veterinary medicine. I grew up in Jonesborough, TN, where I was raised on a zoo with over 50 different species of animals. I currently have a catahoula dog and 2 corn snakes at my current home. All are very friendly. I live in an apartment beside of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing to meet interesting people and have great conversations. I like to help people out whenever I can. I believe in always trying to be courteous to others.
Interests
I am interested in lots of things and always open to new adventures. I rock climb, spelunk, mountain bike, work on vehicles (including motorcycles), enjoy riding motorcycles (I have one setup with a sidecar for my dog), trying new things, working with animals, and so on. I tend to be a thrill seeker, and because of this, I have sky dived, bungee jumped, scuba dived, used to race dirt bike when I was younger, and much more. I love my family and friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all types of music and go through phases where I will listen to one type more than others. I like classic rock the most. I don't have a lot of time for movies, but I enjoy mysteries, action, and adventure movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I have done was study abroad in Ghana, Africa. I did this my summer of 2010, and it was a great experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have one bed available for people to stay and also floor space. I stay fairly busy with veterinary school at the moment, but if I am able, I can take my hosts on hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains, rock climbing outdoors (I have all the gear and a couple different size climbing shoes), possibly mountain biking, and show them around the Knoxville area or go out for a drink.
