Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To find shelter, food and water everywhere I go in interesting and fun ways.
ABOUT ME
I am an active person who loves to bike, climb, hike and swing dance. When back at home I spend the majority of my time riding bikes (both xc mountain and road) with nights for swing dancing or climbing depending on the weather.
When I travel I enjoy checking out museums, historic sites, pretty much anything interesting. I also enjoy finding a nice place to just relax and read a book or have a good conversation.
Since travelling and meeting more native french speakers I have renewed my joy of practicing a second language.
PHILOSOPHY
I am trying to enjoy life more, taking in the small things and to live with less (the less is easy when you only bring a 45 liter bag on a six month trip) once I settle in at home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am fairly new to couch surfing but had amazing experiences meeting people in the Philippines with it. It has shown me how someone local can show an amazing perspective on a city. Once I arrive home after my travels I look forward to showing people the wonders of my city.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far most my couch surfing has been through the swing dance world. I have developed lots of great friends who when in their city I crash on there couch or floor. Making food and sharing drinks is usually one of he highlights of a stay as I love to cook.

Music, Movies, and Books
1930-1940s swing and blues, old punk, indie rock
Epic fantasy, currently reading Malazan Book of the Fallen, all time favorite book is the Fionavar Tapestry.
I tend to love all the music played on CbC radio in Canada.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have ridden a mountain bike race over the continental divide in Canada that spanned 440km and 11000m of altitude change. Taught me how to roll with the weather and whatever happens happens.
Teach, Learn, Share
All types. I like people who can teach me something new and interesting in the sciences. I would also love to learn from other couch surfers ways of finding the cool and interesting places in new cities.
I can bring knowledge of engineering type sciences in water treatment and materials, I am also good at baking a d cooking and love to share my knowledge of making great food.
