About Me
HOSTING: most of the time I’m only able to host for one night, due to my busy schedule. Best chances between Sunday-Tuesday, or Thursday-Friday.
ABOUT ME
Dude from the Netherlands always in for gaining a valuable life experience. I work in IT, but study physical therapy, do sports, play the piano, go camping in the weekends if the weather is nice, and do my other hobbies. And I like the saying "a day without laughter, is a day wasted".
I love meeting new people with all kinds of backgrounds. Parcipating in several "youth exchanges" has given me the opportunity to meet many people with different nationalities. That has been awesome.
In 2016 I discovered bicycle touring, and I love it. It has become my favorite way of travelling: being outside all day, doing sports, camping, seeing the less traveled roads, and being closer to the people. Of course, travelling this way, I look for the countries and regions that allow for planning routes on quiet roads.
I wasn’t able to host for a while, but now I can do it again!
PHILOSOPHY
The greatest risk is to risk nothing at all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can host people, offer help, and I like to share experiences, meet new people and hear their stories.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I got hosted by Mark in London, which was my first fantastic CS experience. I have hosted another guy, Eric from Beijing myself. Until now I've only had positive experiences with CS.
Interests
I love music with almost all it's genres, but I have a distinct preference in every genre. To give some examples:
Electronic music: Bonobo, Aphex Twin, Trentemoller, James Holden
Rock: Queen, Red hot chili peppers, Muse, MGMT
Classical: Satie, Debussy, Vivaldi, Bach
Chill (is this a genre? :P): Jack Johnson, Zero 7
Sporting is another keen interest of mine. Running, cycling, hiking, krav maga, climbing; it feels good!
My intellectual interest are very broad, that's probably the reason why I've switched some studies. I love learning languages, history, and science.
