CURRENT MISSION

Moving from CA to AR to live with family and friends there and to have a nature-filled, beautiful road-trip! Showers and good company are mainly what I am looking for. I plan to be traveling with my partner, Isabel.

ABOUT ME

I am 33, gender nonconforming male, open to any pronouns you see fit. I have lived in California for 9 years. I'm from Arkansas, and Maryland depending on how far back you go. I have studied mathematics for my BS and field ecology later. I am enm/polyamorous, and generally a loving person. I enjoy being outdoors in nature as much as possible, basketball, playing music, making art, and nuanced civil discourse. I am passionate about learning and questioning the status quo and my own assumptions. I love to laugh, be silly, and also have deep convos (but can be cautious /shy). You can ask me anything! I value being an open and honest person.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a skeptic of many things. I believe in probable truths and good science. I love discussion of knowledge and ideas. I am not religious or spiritual but have found my own approach to navigate life. My general philosophy is live and let live, and do no harm. I do not try to tear down or mock people's beliefs but I will ask challenging questions when I feel comfortable and think it will spur a good discussion. We are all tiny mortals on this earth. We all have a responsibility to care for one another and the ecosystems we depend on.

I like to couchsurf. I'm pretty low key. I do not like being an inconvenience to anyone. I clean up after myself and am respectful. I care about people. I am not the biggest small talker, but love real talk and listening to different perspectives.

Music: Tool, Bright Eyes, Between the Buried and Me, The Dear Hunter, anything Chris Thile does.. And I play/write music a bit, mostly covers lately.

Books: Frankenstein, Jane Eyre, Harry Potter.. Informative books on Nature, ecology, field guides.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I moved to Cali by driving my 125cc scooter from Arkansas to Oakland, CA. It was quite a trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach... I have a good amount of plant knowledge, I can point out some edible weeds in your yard probably. I can teach you a bit of guitar or piano. I can talk somewhat knowledgeably about a variety of subjects. I can share some things I have learned that changed my life.

Learn... I love to learn about various things. I am particularly interested in truths that are misunderstood, or not well known, as well as common misconceptions. Very interested in various ways we are misled in what we believe in our society.

Share... I love to share thoughts. I am pretty philosophical really - I think a lot. I love to laugh and joke around too... Our time here is short no matter what you believe and I do plan on enjoying myself as much as I can while also trying to leave the world in a better place than I found it.
