About Me
Hi,
I am looking for a fun travel opportunity and to meet people.
I am kinda intellectual you might say, but I just love chatting and niceness, talking about life is often better then talking about academics. I am an enthusiast when it comes to hobbies.
I am an easy going sort of person who will call before I arrive and ask questions if something important seems out of joint. I am a good honest clean person but I am not religious at all, more of a left winger I guess you could say. I know how to cook and I eat healthy food most of the time. I would use a kitchen so long as the rudiments are provided (butterknife, sugar, flour, source of cold and heat and water). I have decided to focus on my health this year because I suddenly find my body telling me that I am more than 30 years old. Go figure!? I don't feel that old, but I have the life experiences to prove it, so there you have it, I am a mature person. I hope to use this forum to travel to conferences, and if I really get into it, maybe some other adventures as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am a researcher who enjoys international travel to academic conferences. I am in my first year of a Ph.D. program and hoping to finally see the outside world! It is fun to get the inside scoop on peoples lives and would love to spend time encountering new people.
Interests
I like to visit archives. I make clothing for fun. Sometimes I enjoy going out for a beer, but this is not a prereq. I am both social and hard working. Im looking for new experiences in both departments: academics take precedence but socialising is such fun!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
a month ago i drove through the Canadian prairies with a friend, and it was EPIC. How can a place so flat (and seemingly boring) be so surprising and amazing? Come to visit the prairie abyss my friends (heheheeh)....
