About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live the most interesting life possible!

ABOUT ME

I'm a photographer by profession, but a painter by education. I've lived and traveled all over the world but have been in New York for the last 4 years. I plan on using this as a home base while I continue to travel and experience all the world has to teach me!

PHILOSOPHY

My "personal" philosophy is better put in these Emerson quotes:

"To finish the moment, to find the journey's end in every step of the road, to live the greatest number of good hours, is wisdom."

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children...to leave the world a better place...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in, forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day, you shall begin it well and serenely...”

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm on CS infrequently because typically my travel is payed for as a photographer but I think it's a great vehicle for experiencing the wold both as a surfer and a host! I've only used it once on a trip to London and I've also hosted once when I lived in the Gambia and once here in NY.
