Currently I'm an assistant professor of St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University, where I write my Ph.D. thesis in computer science, carry out investigations and projects, lead training courses for students. I've choosen my occupation in university because it's interesting for me: math, programming, circuit design and implementation, writing articles, participating on conferences.
Out of work I participate in kayaking club and play in symphonic metal band.

I'm looking for social and travel discoveries. My current experience tells me that living at hotel is the best way to miss the spirit of place :) And living with hosts, meeting locals gives me real insight.

My past great loves were metal and classical. Still I love them, but nowdays I like listening to something fine regardless to it's genre. In general, listening to the music is something like talking with other people.
Play guitar.
Movies: there are so many good movies. Follow modern Russian cinema, like adventure movies.
Books: science, historical fiction and non-fiction, other. Impressed: Aldous Huxley's 'Brave New World', 'The Bull's Hour' by Ivan Yefremov.

I can spend hours talking about my job - science, methods, technology, computers.
I can share my outdoor experience, e.g. ice skating at the vastes skating rink ever - frozen Baikal lake. Or maybe you still don't know what is surfing river waves in a kayak?)
