About Me
Hello! I am 21 years old, studying and living in Ghent but also partly living at the seaside of Belgium (to escape from the city sometimes ;) )
I am a group leader of a scouting group, I've been in scouting for almost 16 years! I also play classical guitar and sometimes I try out some song on my electrical guitar. I like international adventures, and have been studying in Finland recently, for 4 months.
I study bioscience engineering at Ghent University, my major is cell&gene biotech (green biotech) and I am preparing my thesis about bumblebees!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I just started to be on couchsurfing because I am visiting a friend soon who is on Erasmus in Delft, which is not far from where I live but it's really expensive to stay there! I kind of used up all my money in Finland on Erasmus (which I do not regret at all) so it would be cool to stay somewhere cheap. I will certainly bring Belgian chocolates to all the places I can couchsurf!

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite music: Green Day, Foo Fighters, Our Last Night... also some really cool Belgian bands like: Soulwax, The Van Jets, Intergalactic Lovers (check them out!)
Movies: Anything from Wes Anderson
Books: I mostly read random books but they have to have a story that could really happen in real life + preferably English. I also like some Flemish literature
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Lapland, the sun was never above the horizon. To get from Helsinki to the northest part of Finland, it took us more than 16 hours. When we finally got off the bus, we got the biggest and most beautiful surprise ever: northern lights! We never thought we would see them so quickly. We got on a frozen lake, froze our butts of while looking at the sky (it was - 20 degrees celcius) and just had a magical time!
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't really know what to put here. I don't have a lot of wisdom in me (yet), I learn a lot about my subject in university but 'the school of life' still has to teach me a lot.
One thing I can tell you is that for example by being a group leader in scouting, it has teached me more things that I will need in life than my whole school carreer!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Fysically I promise to bring Belgian chocolates and if you want, a guitar, to have a cosy and musical night! :)
Mentally I would love to share stories!
Hapiness is only real when shared :)
