About Me

I grew up in northern Idaho in a very small town, but have spent most of my life in Seattle, WA. I finished my associate of arts in Seattle last year and decided to take a 12 month road trip around the US living out of my minivan before returning to finish my bachelors degree. That road trip has turned into a 16 month trip with no end in sight. I've been working odd jobs in different places to keep the adventure going :) I don't believe living the conventional lifestyle is how we were meant to experience life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One time my brother hitch hiked from Bellingham, WA to Miami FL. The thought that random strangers helped him travel between the two furthest points of the continental US blew my mind. I pick up every hitchhiker I see now. I've met some pretty rad people with interesting stories. Couchsurfing seems kind of similar to hitch hiking. I think the idea of Couchsurfing is a wonderful way to see the good sides of humanity.

Interests

I'm in love with rock climbing and soaking up scenic places. I don't care for architecture much, but looking at amazing sculpted parts of the earth is pretty damn cool. I love psychology and trying to understand other people. I like fixing and making things, learning how to do things with my hands. I draw sometimes but that's a passion that I don't tend to very often. I love cooking. I've never used a recipe, everything is always by eye and it mostly turns out delicious. Sometimes I'll get into big reading binges, I like stuff that has some sort of philosophical content.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been caving/spelunking into a cave that dropped around 800ft into the ground, spent over 8 hours exploring :)
