ABOUT ME
All I've ever really wanted to do is travel thru Europe and meet amazing people. Everyone has a story to share and I'm a great listener. I'm a bit reserved at first but once you get to know me (meaning once I have a few drinks) I'm very sociable. I'm vegetarian and a big animal lover. I have a degree in Psychology and French in my hometown of Chicago. I have lived in the South of France followed by 10 weeks travelling thru Europe, living a nomadic life. I'm always interested in sharing my Euro experiences with others. I was working in the social work field but now am going to grad school.
PHILOSOPHY
I shamefully admit I have never read Mark Twain, except for Tom Sawyer, and that was a million years ago. I am definitely more of a reserved and cautious person. However, I do have moments of boldness where I shock myself and I do try to live my life by Twain's famous words: "20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. Sail away from the safe harbor, Explore. Dream. Discover."

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I first found CS when I was living in France. I felt a little hesitant at first, but I'm so glad I tried it, because it was a great experience, and I've met so many kind and generous people thru this site.
Interests
Traveling, spending all night with a good book, being an awesome vegetarian, pizza, exploring the millions of things to do in Chicago, long walks with my MP3, going to the beach, wine and champagne, learning languages, finding beautiful things, and laughing!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm on an old soul. Love the 60s. The music was just so beautiful and heartfelt back then.
In terms of books, I love reading all types of genres, but especially historical fiction (love Laura Moriaty's The Chaperone) and travel memoirs (Eat, Pray, Love is a favorite).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing a sunset in Croatia, Westminster Abbey in London, Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, the Sixtine Chapel in Rome(brought tears to my eyes!),the Eiffel Tower lit up at night, but my most vivid memory is just travelling around Europe by myself for months...and thriving while doing so!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help you learn English or French. More importantly I can make you laugh!
