À propos de moi

Wow, I just had to scrap my whole profile, it was SO outdated!

Chicago has been my home for the last 15 years, and she has a huge piece of my heart and soul BUT- the other part of my soul is calling out for change, I miss the mountains, trees, rivers, streams, amazing beauty of the West. Aaand, I finally got a chance to exit Chicago, all stuff in storage, and here I am, currently in Humboldt County.

I've been on a mission/exploring the west coast, hunting for a place to relocate. Seattle for a month, Bay Area a few weeks here and there, maybe explore Oregon next? I need to be out of the big city and nestled in a nature driven place, so here I am.

In Chicago I was a fanatic for fun times, and an avid sailor, I worshipped the Lake, actually :)
I dance, cook, sail, hike, go camping, sneak off to a regional burning man event, here and there.

I'm an environmentalist, I love to recycle, repurpose, up-cycle things, find 2nd and 3rd lives for everything!
I'm a gardener, with 2 green thumbs, and love to be toured around your house plants and gardens.
I'm a cook, focused on veggie and healing diets, think Fiber Fueled, The Wahls Diet and think, Delicious! I actually call myself an omnivore but try to avoid processed foods.
I'm a wine and cider enthusiast, an adventurer, a passionate idealist and I love good conversation... let's talk!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I fundamentally believe in this concept, of opening your home and meeting/connecting with people you would otherwise never meet. This is how we break down barriers and remember how we are all connected.

I'm inspired by all my travels with Rainbow Family, in my twenties. We would always leave places cleaner than we found them, cook for our local hosts, go on mad adventures spreading love and magic. I haven't gotten as many opportunities to host and surf (via this site) but the concept holds, even in these crazy times.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Movies don't stick to me for some reason... Music-wise I groove to most genres. I should say more about this but I just love all music!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

slept on a cliff ledge in the grand canyon.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I'll share any of my skills and love to hear what you want to share. lets the moment dictate the opportunity to share...

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

I'd love to share my cooking skills or collaborate on a yummy meal, assist with lite household projects, weed a garden, paint a wall. In general, I love to help if I can, and stay out of the way when appropriate. I'm a friendly and engaged guest who values direct, kind communication and believes in privacy and solitude.
