Servus and Hello! :)
We are Tina and Katharina(or just Kate) from Wuerzburg, Germany. We gratued from High School two years ago and used our new gained freedome to travel around the world! :)
Currently we're both studying.
The world has so much to offer and we can't wait to explore as much of it as possible! :D

If anybody is interested in our german culture, me and my mum would be honored to show you some of it in our beautiful home town :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We got intrested in couchsurfing because we want to learn something about the culture of the country we are visiting. It is very important to us, to get in contact to native people and we're really intrested in their way of living and their culture.
You just don't gain the same experience during a hotel-vacation. Thanks to couchsurfing you get way closer to the country, you get to know many people and it's way more adventourus :D

Interests

During leisure time I really like to spend some hours with friends. Unfortunately Im not able to spend as much of my time since my graduation with them as I'd like to. Also I'm a big family-person, so I'm trying to meet my aunts, uncels, my cousins and especially my Mum as often as possible.
More than this I like to play sports, so I'm in a Cheerleader team and also do strength training.

Just like Tina I love spending time with my friends and my family. I also love animals, that's why I help hedgehogs to survive the cold winter in Germany :)
Last winter I hosted two hedgehogs in our garden :D
I'm not really into sports. I only like it if you get to see nature while you're doing sport. eg. when you're going on a kayak trip, or hiking. During my visit in New Zealand and Egypt I was able to swim with dolphins. It was so great!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kind of music, and I think every music genre has some great songs, so I can't really tie myself down to any direction. :D
I love to read, and prefer novels like Harry Potter (I know, this is a classical one, but it is really good) :D
Like in music I also watch all kind of movies and TV shows

I especially like rock and electro. But I'm open for all the other music genres :)
Tina already mentioned Harry Potter what happens to be my favorite book :D
But I also love the books from Carlos Zafon! He is a good author(you should give it a try ;) ) There are of course a lot of other books I've read, but it would take too much time to write them all down :D
I like almost every film genre. I'm not a huge fan of horror movies. I get scared way too easily!! :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 10th grade, when I was 15, my Mum enabled me to visit an american high school for 5 month and to live in a host family in Alabama, U.S. (I think this is where I understood, how much more you can lern, when you live with a nativ family!)
I learnd a lot during this five month. About myself, about anouther Culture and how to mamage a new life by my self
