About Me

I've never been great at describing myself (who is?) but I'll give it a shot. I'm a born-and-raised hoosier who loves Indiana but also loves to travel and see what the rest of the world has to offer. I'm unsure of whether or not I'll ever settle down in one place, because there's too much exciting stuff out there for one lifetime! After much deliberation, I am prepared to say that my five favorite things in life (barring vague concepts like "love" or "friends and family") are rock climbing, airplanes, tiny houses, anything that smells good, and chicken tikka masala.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My original motivations for getting a profile were to find a place to stay overnight on cross-country drives that also involved meeting new people and making new friends. That's predominantly what I've used it for; as well as finding places to stay during wilderness medicine training courses or personal trips; etc, but I'm also beginning to discover how couch surfing can be a tool to help me connect better with my own Indianapolis community. It's wonderful!

Interests

Searching for the perfect burrito, wool socks (especially when they're purple), jazz piano, the American craft beer movement, taking road trips, belly dance, climbing on rocks, Pilates, horses, hiking, oiling my cast iron skillet, cooking on my cast iron skillet, buying things at Marshall's, cooking with potatoes, making Old-Fashioneds, pad thai, fabrics that feel nice, the game "run and yell" (very self explanatory), Spanish, tea, airplanes, Dave Brubeck, cilantro, bleaching my cooler, walking around.
